Challenge
As TACO expanded its leadership in the HPL market, entering the premium segment required more than introducing a higher-grade product. The market needed to see TIERO not merely as a product extension, but as a dedicated premium brand with its own meaning, desirability, and commercial role.
The challenge was to create a brand that could build premium credibility without depending too heavily on the parent brand. TIERO needed a clear positioning, a distinct identity, and a stronger value perception that could justify its place in a more curated and design-conscious segment.
Approach
Whitespace developed a standalone premium brand strategy covering naming, positioning, narrative, identity direction, and communication principles. The work clarified how TIERO should be perceived, what kind of premium meaning it should carry, and how it could differentiate itself within the interior surface category.
The brand was shaped to express refinement, curation, and modern material sophistication. Its identity system and brand applications were developed to create a distinctive premium presence across packaging, sales materials, product communication, and customer-facing touchpoints.
Outcome
TIERO became a premium brand with a clearer market position, distinctive identity, and stronger perceived value. Instead of being seen only as a higher-grade product under TACO, it gained its own brand presence and a more focused role within the premium HPL segment.
The result was a brand system that helped TACO compete in the premium market through a dedicated brand, not just a product extension. TIERO gave the portfolio a more refined expression, stronger differentiation, and a clearer platform for premium growth.
